One Donor. One Call. One Second Chance.

A Second Chance Can Come When You Least Expect It.

A few weeks ago, we shared the story of John O'Neil as he waited for a life-saving liver transplant.

Like so many families in the transplant community, John and his loved ones were living in the uncertainty of "not yet"—waiting, hoping, and praying for the call that could change everything.

Then it happened.

John's son, Jonathan, recently shared with us:

"We went up to see him one weekend to check in on him. We left on Sunday to come back to West Virginia. On Monday morning, they called him and he had the surgery."

Just like that, everything changed.

After spending a few days in the ICU and about a week in the hospital, John is now home recovering. While he still has healing ahead of him, the new liver is doing great, his staples have been removed, and each day brings new progress.

Stories like John's remind us why organ donation matters so deeply.

For every transplant recipient, there was once a season of waiting. A season of uncertainty. A season of wondering if the call would ever come.

For our Co-Founder Tim, that call came.

For John, that call came.

And for thousands of others, a second chance became possible because someone made the selfless decision to become an organ donor.

Behind every transplant is a donor. A family. A gift. A legacy of hope.

Today, we celebrate John's successful transplant and the incredible gift of life he received. We also honor the donor and donor family whose decision opened the door to more time, more memories, and more moments with the people he loves.

And for those who are still waiting, we hope John's story serves as a reminder that miracles still happen. Sometimes, when you least expect it, the phone rings.
