More Than a Gift: Supporting Angela’s Journey

Today was about showing up—with love, with compassion, and with community.

Through our Second Chance Support Grant outreach program, we had the honor of visiting Angela’s family at Redwood Community Farmers Market, where her story continues to be carried by the people who love her most. Angela has been fighting with incredible strength through her transplant journey, and while the road hasn’t been easy, she is still here—healing, hoping, and pushing forward every single day.

We were able to gift $1,000 to Angela to support her continued post-transplant care, but what mattered most wasn’t the amount—it was the moment. The reminder that she is not walking this path alone. That her story is seen. That her community stands beside her.

The Second Chance Support Grant exists for moments like this—

to walk beside individuals and families navigating the transplant journey, to offer relief where it’s needed, and to remind them they are never alone in the process.

Please continue to keep Angela and her family in your thoughts and prayers as she navigates this next phase of healing.
